You can come right after a shower, you can come all covered in mud. You can come all covered in flowers, you can come all covered in blood.” - Earthman Doublewood Driven by adventure, Gered Stowe left his parents home at an early age to travel the world armed only with his backpack and a cheap acoustic guitar. Gered’s initial travels left him with enough impressions to write a first set of songs and to form the band, ”The Gorilla Theatre”. Back in Belgium, during the summer of 1998, Gered met musicians Mika Nagazaki, Greg Remy and Sanderson Poe. This foursome became Fubar, a band that would define Gered’s songwriting forever. After only a few weeks of shows, the band was already being noticed by Belgian rock icons Arno and Roland Van Campenhout. Not long after that, Fubar got a record deal with Luc Van Acker’s BMG’s sub-label, “Les Enfants Terribles”. Working with legendary producer Tony Platt (AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Buddy Guy, K’s Choice), and drummer Paul Zahl (SVT, Tuxedo Moon, Flamin Groovies), the Fubar debut album was completed but never released. The band split up after the recording sessions and the album disappeared indefinitely in the BMG dungeons. Mika Nagazaki, Greg Remy and Sanderson Poe joined John Stargasm to form the successful Belgian band Ghinzu. Gered decided to hit the road again and disappeared from the scene only to return eight years later. At this point he had written a large series of new songs, aching to be recorded. A fortuitous meeting on the road
