Artist
My granddaddy, James "Lee" Red Henderson lived in Union County, Blairsville, GA with his second wife and two children. My mom, Louise ,was by his first wife, Nancy Eva Power Henderson (of the Power's Ferry Rd clan). His first album cut was in 1927 with Earl Johnson and the Red Hot Clodhoppers. Granddaddy played the piano, the fiddle, and the guitar. He was 6 ft 2 in with bright shining red hair, and skinny as a bean pole. He died one week before his SS retirement check arrived, he said he had earned that check, but never got to see it. I love listening to his music on the internet, thanks for having this free service.
