"dzsindzsa" in hungarian means something like a swamp, an impenetrable, impervious area, and the choice is not a coincidence, it's a particularly promising name for a jazz band. The members of Dzsindzsa are some of the most talented musicians of the hungarian experimental, improvisative scene. Gábor Weisz (saxophone), Ernő Hock (double bass) és Hunor G. Szabó (dob) plays together rarely, but each occasion is special. They've been playing together with a lot of other musician, for example with István Grencsó and Mihály Dresch or with the trombonist Hans van Vliet. They also made a split record with the french band Pulcinella. Dzsindzsa plays easily admissible, playful contemporary jazz music, but sometimes they could be specifically abstract, their tone is humoruos, ironic, sometimes even a bit grotesque. Their third album Fuss ("Run!") was just released at June of 2016 at the freshly started hungarian record label, PrePost Records.
