Dyingrace originated as a fusion of death metal, groove metal, and hardcore in the Hyogo Prefecture of Kobe, Japan. Initially known as Age Limit 20 from 1996 to 1997, the band renamed to Dyingrace in 1998. Its lineup included bassist Shinya Sakoda, drummer Yoshihiko Fujimoto, guitarists Yoshihiro Takemura and Tomoki Nishimura, and vocalist Daisuke Akiyama. They released a self-titled demo in 1998, followed by the full-length album "Only the Determined Path Remains" in 1999, and a split video titled "Stronger than Before" in the same year. Signed to SIH Records, the band remained active until disbanding in 2001. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
