about

Dumbell: The Punk Rock Tragic Comedy When it comes to bands that stick to their guns through good times and bad times, Dumbell is on the top of the list. Formed in 1996 by Paul Grace Smith after departing from Sonny Vincent’s Shotgun Rationale where he played with the likes of Cheetah Chrome (The Dead Boys) Bobby Stinson (The Replacements) Greg Norton (Hüsker Dü) Richard Hell, Moe Tucker(Velvet Underground)...all before the age of 25. Dumbell has been around for well over a decade with few dry spells in between releasing records and touring Europe. They have shared the stage with everyone and your mother including the likes of Zeke, Marvel, New Bomb Turks, PPSR..you catch the drift. The band has also been linked to the Hydromatics (featuring Detroit's legendary Scott Morgan and the the Hellacopter's golden boy Nicke) and the notorious Nitwitz of Amsterdam fame. Hope and humor. Dirty and loud. Straight from the heart. The new album is scheduled for release in the fall of 2010.
