Dukes Of The Kumatai (koom-a-tay) were a 5 piece deathcore band from southern California. The band formed on September 12, 2004, with the earliest lineup being Scotty on vocals, Andrew and Nick Buonagurio on guitar, Matt Marinelli on bass, and Hector on drums. In 2006, the band would release a four track demo, featuring one track that would later be rerecorded for their debut EP, "You Are The Past, I Am The Present" a year later. CD's and merch for the EP were sold at shows and through their online store as shown on their Myspace page. During this time, the band was signed to Hammerfall Records. However, sometime in 2008 the band would depart from their record label, becoming an independent band. Like many other bands in the socal area, the band would go through many different members around this time, lacking a drummer for a short period of time. Despite all of these shortcomings, the band would find their new drummer, Raul Patino (R.I.P) and were still determined to write an ambitious 11 track album titled "Seven Days Into Hell" , alongside the release of a flashy new myspace layout. Plans for physical releases of the album were also in the works. However, the album would never see the light of day as the band would split up around 2010. The only 2 tracks to have been officially released for the album were "Premonitions Of Exploitations" and "The Illusionist". Throughout their existence, Matt Marinelli and Nick Buonagurio were the only consistent members of the lineup
