Dry Season was a previous incarnation of a Baltimore based band now known as The Dry Sea. They were a mostly instrumental “Strange Rock” group. The band began in 2008 as an exploratory music project and has thus blossomed into epic psychedelic noise as they worked their way into the underground Baltimore music scene. Their music evokes provocative mental landscapes, punctuated by esoteric string and wind instruments, often against textures of grinding circuit bends and sound manipulation. Remaining independent, they cut their own self titled album in 2009 before parting ways with their original formation.
