Dren McDonald has been involved with music since piano lessons at 5, rock bands at 12, big bands at 18, orchestra pits at 20, touring with more rock bands at 25-35, and currently creating music and sound design for video games. In between music tours, he also founded a music merchandise business, a record label and an online record store. He performed at and spoke at several SXSW conferences, NXNW conferences, and continues to speak at game conferences such as the Game Developers Conference (GDC), GameDesignCon, GameSoundCon, IndieCade, and Casual Connect. He's written several audio articles for online entities such as Gamasutra.com, RecordingHacks.com, GameAudio101.com and AudioGang.org. He operates his own game audio company, nerdtracks, and also sits as the current Director of Development for the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.)
