After fronting the emo band Family Might in high school and serving a brief stint in the band Foxing, Tom Pini started Drangus in 2016. In 2018 he recruited former Family Might bassist Anthony Patten and St. Louis-area drummer Keith Bowman to make Drangus a trio. They released their debut album 'Love, Dust to Dust' in 2019. Some time later, Patten was replaced by local guitarist/keyboardist Juan Luchini and the band changed their name to Native Flowers.
