Born in the early 2000's, DragStrip Riot came out of the gates flying at 100mph with a stripped-down, unapologetic brand of rock n roll. Their music is big on melodic choruses informed by blues, punk, country, and garage, with snarling guitars, slithering bass and slamming drums. A unique sound, it's something akin to breaking your knuckle wrenching on a greasy engine. Imagine a mixture of George Thorogood meets the Hellacopters, mixed with Bo Diddley and The Misfits and you'll start to get an idea of what it is the band calls "hotrod rock n roll". DragStrip Riot has cut its teeth live playing with the likes of The Nekromantix, Deadbolt, Nashville Pussy, Throw Rag, Go Like Hell, 45 Grave, Zeke, Lee Rocker (Stray Cats), Red Elvises, Joe Buck (Hank III), Black Halos, Eddie Spaghetti, Voltaire, The Genitorturers, The Dwarves and more. Fresh on the heels of their second release "DAMN!" (engineered by Jack Endino - Supersuckers, Nirvana, Mudhoney, Zeke, Soundgarden, Black Halos) the band has been incredibly active as of late and will hit the road this summer. Well known for their intense live shows, DragStrip Riot usually kicks off each show at a breakneck pace, slowing down only occasionally to let the audience catch their breath and drink a beer or six. Forging their own path while trying to remain true to what made rock n roll rebellious in its infancy, DragStrip Riot can best be summed up by paraphrasing one of their own songs: "It's the life that they live, it's the life
