Born in Split, Dražen Zečić remains one of the most popular Croatian pop musicians for audiences of all ages. His meteoric rise to the top can be attributed to two songs: the first being the 1993 ballad 'Govore mi mnogi ljudi', and the second being the duet with young unknown singer Anđela Kolar in 1998 titled 'Ima li nade za nas'. Zečić is known for his generosity and good nature towards his fellow Croatians, and his back catalogue of over 130 songs continues to grow each year.
