In the beginning there was only an idea. Who could have guessed that the idealism of crazy rock and roll laced with stage antics filled with humor and unity would mould a group of individuals intended to kick rock and rolls ass. The rise of Icelandic finest is a tale of wonder. Late in the last decade there were a group of artists meeting randomly at rehersal spaces to discharge the energy flowing between them. A new entity was born. This entity stayed underground for many years only to emerge once a year to play live. This went on for ten years and it seemed that Dr. Spock would eventually fade away into obscurity only to live in the collective memory of the lucky concert goers who witnessed the live massacre. In a freak coincidence Dr. Spock were asked to donate a track for the feature film Oskaborn Thjodarinnar starring the Icelandic rock singer legend Ottarr Proppe. Dr. Spock asked Mr. Proppe to sing in this track not knowing that a mystical course of action was in motion. Mr. Proppe joined the band on the spot. In 2004 Dr. Spock broke the restraint. At Iceland Airwaves festival Dr. Spock unleashed their material on to a frantic receptive crowd. Managing Director of Smekkleysa / Bad Taste records witnessed the havoc and a decision from the label's directors to sign Dr. Spock. Dr. Spock went into the studio in spring 2005 and recorded their debut album "Dr. Phil" live in one session. The album was finished in a record of 20 hours. Smekkleysa released the album in
