Dr. Neman started turning the tables during his studies at the medical faculty of the university of Leiden, The Netherlands. Mostly performing at student parties, he started perfecting his techniques. In 2008, Dr. Neman entered a contest organised by the Dutch radio XFM. This resulted in XFM asking him to provide a ten-minute hitmix preview every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. Dr. Neman plays a wide variety of musical styles, including trance, dance, pop, house and elektro. He prefers prominent melodies and striking vocals. When mixing, he tries to keep the original song as intact as possible, however currently he is experimenting with different angles.
