Dr. Negative is Shelby Morris and producer Nathan Rich. The two formed a collaborative partnership on December 31, 2005 and began writing music throughout the next two years with the release of several demos that only circulated via friends. No definitive album was released until the Deception Pass EP was finished and distributed for free on November 16, 2008, marking the duo’s first official release. On February 14, 2009 Dr. Negative released a single titled Spare Me which included a cover (of the Police's Walking on the Moon) along with the title track.
