Artist
'Dr Bod' is James Fylan (and a Mac). Author of the fantasy sci-fi novel 'Lives Remaining', he was born in London, England in the seventies and grew up in Essex. He admits he's had no formal musical training and can barely string two bars together when sat in front of a 'live' musical instrument. However, this does not preclude him from appreciating a pleasing tune or a rousing beat. His entire youth was set to a soundtrack provided by the ever present home radio (tuned to BBC Radio 1) and his mother's tape collection - broad musical influences were never far away. The acquisition of a Mac (in an effort to diversify his IT career) introduced him to software that enabled him to put whatever tunes brewed in his head out into the real world. Drawing on a diverse pool of musical interests ranging from Mr Bungle (Mike Patton) to Beethoven - the resultant style is eclectic, often within the same song. 'Dr Bod' does not use pre-packaged musical loops in his music, unless they are mere sound FX. There's a new genre in town... Avant Garde Lift Music!
