Artist
Downcity Armory is an industrial band based in Providence, RI. The music is composed and performed by Todd Bowes, formerly of Long Island rockers Dead Superstar. In April of 2013, Downcity Armory released the "EMPIRE GONE" EP (produced by Phil Petrie of NY's Ex Machinae), a six-song blast of noisy synth hooks, heavy dance beats, with aggressive and melodic vocals. The live band includes keyboardist Mark Hallam from NY's Ex Machinae, as well as Christopher Brown and Rob Fusco from Boston's Vary Lumar on bass and drums respectively. Bowes is currently writing songs for Downcity Armory's next release, the double EP "Workhorse/Firehorse" with the former featuring DCA's aggressive, hard industrial/EBM side, and the latter featuring their more hook-laden electro rock side. "Workhorse" will be produced by Phil Petrie, and "Firehorse" will be recorded and engineered by Christopher Brown.
