Downbelow are a indie rock band from Frydek-Mistek, a city in the Czech Republic. They started playing together in 1999. Since that time they have performed over 150 shows in Bohemian, Moravian, Polish and Slovak clubs, as well as at summer festivals (Colours Of Ostrava, Trnkobrani, Kraliky, Muzika, ...). Downbelow has been featured in a number of radio interviews; they have performed live on radio and on Czech TV. They've made two short cd's and are currently working on a full, long playing cd. Their two videos are played on several Czech TV shows. Downbelow's aim is to continue building it's contemporary music audience in the Czech Republic as well as in other countries. A number of it's best known songs are in English, a choice which helps further this goal. Their official website is www.downbelow.eu.
