Down In Autumn is a Northern Irish ‘band’ that mainly consists of one member. Occasionally other people will lend their talents to various recordings and performances, but usually Down In Autumn is small, mostly-acoustic, home-recorded songs all scrappily put together by Thomas McCann. Down In Autumn’s been going since about 2005, and have recorded a bunch of albums and Eps over the years. The songs are mostly always recorded in various bedrooms across various parts of Ireland and the UK, mainly Castlewellan Co. Down and London. They’re all recorded on fairly cheap gear that's been thrown together over the years, and pretty much everything to do with Down In Autumn has a DIY-ethic; making the most of what's available. It's small-scale, simple, mostly-acoustic, home-recorded songs that only exist because sometimes it's easier to sing than speak. .
