Double UV

Born in zwolle and influenced by the early hiphop scene and bands like Kraftwerk it all started in Zwolle (NL) for DJ Double UV, spinning the wheels in a small club, after a move to Hengelo he saw an ad from Jumbo Dancing Oldenzaal that they needed House DJ's. Acid house just made it's introduction in the netherlands thanks to the VPRO. all of a sudden they declared House dead in Jumbo, so he moved from Jumbo to Metropool Hengelo because DJ Cixx wanted to start having Acid parties there but didn't have enough Material to fill an evening. House got real Hot in the netherlands and they had parties with 250-300 people ( packed to the rafters) every time. DJ johnsen joined up and spinned a lot of club, and they did some parties in Disco empire New york and Jet Set. then the big events came and the small parties died out. as a DJ he continued to play on the smaller parties and was frequently asked on gigs involving acidhouse, and some DJ sets before or after bands in metropool. a lot of DJ's from the east of the Netherlands have been to his parties and had the time of their life before starting to spin the wheels themselves. Nowadays he is mostly into set mixing and doing some gigs on the side, still knowing how to make a good mix in any musicgenre whether it be pop, rock, indie, metal, house, drum n bass, electro, or any other dance style not mentioned here.
