DOPE SAGITTARIUS is an epic tale of a interdemisonal traveling band from the past out to save the multiverse from mediorce music. Born out of the sick mind of mastermind Luqman Brown; (aka M.C. WHISTLER) and inspired but such great bands as Funkadelic, OutKast, The Qemists & The Gorillas, DOPE SAGITTARIUS undeniably have a creative blend of music, animation, technology, wit, humour & history. This Five piece unit of Captain M.C Whistler (vox, Guitar), Lieutenant Legba (Bass) Brigadier (Drums) Ill Phill (DJ) & TRC-975 (Robot) is like one mega DJ mixing and blending hot modern dance floor sounds. Utilizing live instruments to create amazing mash ups of Grim, Dubstep, & Drum&Bass; littered with Soul, Funk, & Punk references. THE STORY GOES: 3 Jazz musicians from the 1930's who joined the Tuskegee air core during World War II in a bombing raid over the Atlantic; their b29 marauder bomber plane the Dope Sagittarius was lost. Whats is little know is that they were accidentally transported to an alternate dimension where there musical talents were transformed in to powers that could control the universal sound. Now armed with this knowledge they travel the dimensional riffs of time and space in there plane, hunting down the mediocre music spreading virus know as the evil DJ doctor Dee incredible and his wick wack army. Using live musical instruments hacked from parts of there ship they save infinity's sound patrons by blending electro club sounds mixed with blues soul and funk. Alo
