Donn Reynolds (born June 26, 1921 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, died August 16, 1997 in Brampton, Ontario, Canada), also known as Canada's "King of the Yodelers", was a country singer and yodeler who established two yodeling world records. Donn was born in St. Vital, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Influenced by Harry Hopkinson (aka Harry Torrani), a popular British yodeler during the 1930's, Reynolds taught himself to sing and play guitar at 10 years of age. A former International Yodel Champion, winning the title at the Pacific National Exhibition in 1950, Reynolds also won the 1956 United States Yodeling Championship in Washington DC, claiming the title "World's Champion Yodeler". Reynolds released recordings on MGM, Columbia, and RCA labels including hit singles Texas Yodel, Bella Belinda, Hasta Luego, and Afraid. Throughout the 50's, he performed on countless stages and television shows worldwide including the Grand Ole Opry, Bavarian Opry, Louisiana Hayride, WLS National Barn Dance, El Circo De Madrid, WWVA Jamboree, KRLD Big D Jamboree, Cross Canada Barn Dance and his own regular TV show TV Rangers. His acting credits include the films Eureka Stockade (1949), Arena (1953), and the lead role as Davy Crockett in the British musical. In 1960, during a 2 year performing tour of Europe, Reynolds met and married Audrey Williams (of British singing trio Three Skylarks) in Poulton, England.
