Artist
Donald Peers was a music hall artist born in Wales, 10th July 1908, and one of five children. He came to prominence on BBC radio after the 1939/45 war when he had his own half-hour programme on a Sunday. He had a number of top ten records in the U.K. but lost popularity after a reported marital scandal as his target audience was mainly female. Also the advent of rock and roll in the early fifties didn't help his career. he died 9th August 1973.
