Steffi and Martyn grew up in the south of Holland in towns five minutes apart. Despite never crossing paths growing up, they frequented the same clubs and bars and had mutual friends. In 2010 they met on a bus to the Lowlands Festival, not only discovering their shared heritage, but also that they were born in the same year. After uncovering more and more common musical ground and becoming good friends, the two decided to work on a project together: Doms & Deykers (their respective surnames). The first Doms & Deykers EP Fonts For The People emerged in 2014 on Martyn’s 3024 label, and was followed up by a feature on the Ostgut Ton | Zehn compilation with the track “Whirling”. The two were also heavily involved in the production of Virginia's Fierce For The Night album on Ostgut Ton. While working on tracks for a second Doms & Deykers EP Dedicated To Those Who Feel, the idea for an album was born. The first versions of tracks for the album Evidence From A Good Source were jams laid down in only four days at Steffi's Berlin studio. Although they are both prolific producers, label owners, DJs and Panorama Bar residents in their own right with distinct visions, their project is a true collaborative effort. The Doms & Deykers sound moves beyond Martyn and Steffi as individuals, existing in a dimension somewhere between House, Techno, and Electro.
