Domingo Ottati was born on the 21 February 1987 in Milan, Italy and is now living in Florence, Italy. His distinctive French-R and Tuscan heritage are the main features that allow his voice to stand out in the crowded Italian Indie scene. Ottati's passion for music was unprecedented in the first 10 years of his life. He grew a passion for learning rare and exotic instruments, studying and obtaining proficiency with Orchestra Bass, Ocarina and Orchestra Harp, ignoring more common instruments such as the piano, guitar and flutes. Unfortunately these instrument's didn't give the artist the broadness of genres that he was looking for, making him fall into a 7 year long creative crisis. In summer 2005 the turning point of his career comes when he meets Nicola Bianchi, who teaches him how to compose using a guitar and introduces him to Italian alternative guru, expert in computerized musical synthesis, Nedo Bargini. Ottati is deeply influenced by these characters, and goes as far as to write a song titled "Nedo Bargini" honouring his mentor. After very little time Ottati becomes a prolific songwriter, producing his first EP "Divanoletto" at the beginning of 2007. The tracks in the record represent many different musical genres, but the lo-fi recording they have in common is the distinctive element of the tunes. His early sound is influenced by artists such as Beck, Elvis Costello, Devo and Italian acts Verdena, Bugo and Alberto Camerini. As he develops his own style he falls int
