There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Doll Squad is an alternative rock from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1987 and initially disbanded in 1989 before reforming in 2008. The band was formed by Mara Dralle (vocals) and Helen Halloran (rhythm guitar, backing vocals) after the dissolution of their previous project, The Corn Dogs. Cathy Watson was then recruited as lead guitarist, followed by a drummer, Patty Schemel, who was suggested to them by drummer Bon Von Wheelie of Girl Trouble. Annette Billesbach (bass) was the final member to join. The band performed around Washington, most notably with appearances at Olympia's Community World Theater, Seattle's Central Tavern and Vogue Theatre, at which they shared the bill with the then-unknown, Nirvana., and also appeared on the Spud Goodman Show, and in two straight to video movies, Rock & Roll Mobster Girls (which also features Girl Trouble, Cat Butt, Scott McCoughey, Jeff Simmons, and Jim Rose), and Attack of the Hideo-Poid. Halloran was also featured in the grunge movie, Hype! In their original form, the band are known to have recorded one demo tape, which is circulating online as Demos 1987, which includes six songs, including a cover of Sonny & Cher's, "I Got You Babe." The demo was released to friends and possibly record labels on January 1, 1988. A year later, the band disbanded.
