Artist
Dodo NKishi is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and poducer. Reggae and Soul form the basis to his whole approach towards music. Growing up a multiracial child in Düsseldorf, Germany (his mother being from Kleve, Germany and his father from Kinshasa, Congo), had a strong influence on his perception and interpretation of sounds and music. Following his move to England in 1986, he soon began working with a variety of bands, musicians and producers, as well as a brief stint in the world of acting, participating as "Angel 19" in Ray Shell's musical "Street Angels". Winning the first place in the 1990 Grolsch "Question of Style" award for Best Original Song Writing, with his composition of "Sentimental Lover", which was later to be included on the debut album T.O.T. by Loophole (a short lived, but very promising Trip Hop project he launched together with Andi Toma and Raoul Walton, and was released in 1996, by Amber Records/Polydor), formed the basis to industry interest and eventually lead to a major publishing deal with Warner Chappel Music Ltd in 1991, on the strength of a 10-song-demo. Soon after meeting and thereon co-producing T.O.T. with Toma and Walton, in 1993 in Germany, he began his long-term collaboration with Mouse on Mars in 1994, and has since been their official drummer and vocalist, as well as continuing co-writing and programming with the duo. He is the official drummer and backing-vocalist of the Berlin-Milan based quartet Pet, founded by Andre Ab
