about

Doctrations (Diederik Baan) was born in 1989 in The Hague, growing up his influences where mainly from jazz, funk and 90's music. He also started playing the trumpet at the age of six. From there it evolved into other musical genre's like hip-hop and also more uptempo styles like Drum n Bass, Dubstep and fidget house/electro. At the age of 18 he started mixing and making music together with Migrations(Miguel Eskens) and dropped hip-hop mixes like Scarred Beats and The Find Rewind(http://www.thefindmag.com) and electric mixes like We Make It Good. He lives in Rotterdam where he spends most of his time in his studio where loads of collabs take place. He now is in his Third Year at the School of Arts in Utrecht where he studies the arts of video design. His goal is to create sound and image that unifies all that it stands for. Doctrations always makes/mixes music and never stops evolving and learning. For the latest and greatest in his music check http://soundcloud.com/doctrations.
