Doctor Who is a British science-fiction television programme broadcast by the BBC since 1963. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called the Doctor, exploring the universe in a time-travelling space ship called the TARDIS. The TARDIS exterior appears as a blue British police box, which was a common sight in Britain in 1963 when the series first aired. There have been many composers throughout the show's run. Notable composers are: Murray Gold (2005-2017), Segun Akinola (2017-2022), Dudley Simpson (various stories from 1964- 1980), and Peter Howell (1980-1985), among others. NOTE: Spotify and other streaming services have "Doctor Who" listed as the artist on many of Big Finish Productions' Doctor Who audio drama releases.
