Artist
Aleksandra Djelmash is a vocalist, pianist and a songwriter from Belgrade, Serbia. Born in 1990, Aleksandra is the daughter of Ratislav "Raša" Ðelmaš, a member of Serbian rock bands YU Grupa and Zebra. By the age of five she had developed an interest in all forms of music and would spend hours listening to the radio and her father’s records. She started playing guitar when she was 12. After that she decided to enroll in the performing arts high school Kornelije Stankovic (jazz vocal department). In high school, she started a musical collaboration with guitarist, pianist and composer David Maxim Micic, the son of another former YU Grupa member, David Micić. Together they came up with the idea of creating a unique rock/metal sound. They made that idea a reality in 2010 when they finally formed the band Destiny Potato, later renamed Sordid Pink. Aleksandra's unique sound is influenced by variety of musical genres, from pop jazz ballads to heavy rock metal riffs. Her debut EP Crossroads came out in 2016.
