Up and coming underground Hip Hop DJ / Producer of Puerto Rican desent from The Bronx, New York took interest in HipHop Culture growing up in the 1980's witnessing street park jams in his neiborhood and Bronx River Projects. 1992 Hektek got his first set of DJ equipment and started out playing music at parties. 1993 getting hired to play music for parties of all occations threwout the New York Tri-State area. Hektek also would record his friends rapping over instrumental music beats on tape soon after forming BluntSquad Productions and rap group Bronxmob. 1997 he began to create beats sampling music working with a drum machine. Spring of 1997 during a short time in Miami, Florida while listening to the radio (91.7fm WJHH) he tuned in to a HipHop radio station that he contacted and was givin his first break to DJ and co host. Summer of 1997 in New York having the honer to be introduced to Afrika Bambaataa music pioneer, Amenra of Hip Hop Culture, and founder of the Universal Zulu Nation. 1998 working with rap group Bronxmob and other local artist recording demo tapes appearing and performing on local cable access T.V programs. Spring of 1998 Hektek was givin his first opportunity to travel on tour to DJ and co host along side Afrika Bambaataa @ clubs in New York and other parts of the U.S. 1999 having the honer to play music overseas on tour for large audiences in Europe being interviewed and photographed by media gaining some international exposure.
