DJ Edgar was born January 4th 1974, Grew up in the Tijuca (north zone of Rio de Janeiro). He's living in Rio de Janeiro. Edgar started his DJ career in 1990, being employed as a DJ for the one of Rio's biggest and most known Baile Funk sound systems. Responsible for many changes in Baile Funk (Brazil) for Pos-Funk (Europa). Always fought by globalization and respect for the Baile Funk in Brazil and the world. Where is their culture by making tours by Brazil and Europe (Europe since 2005). play in many countries, examples: Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, France, Germany, Poland, Holland, England, Autria, Belgium, others. Edgar plays everything from old Miami Bass to current Baile Funk and Pos-Funk, switching between mad MPC wizzardry and frenetic turntables skills. It has musical productions of authority itself in numerous collection by Brazil and Europe. Three tracks of their production on an episode of "City of Men". It has a solo EP produced by Man Recordings (Berlin) entitled "Baile Funk Masters 3". Recently participated in the project with three tracks "Bossa do Morro." Work designed by Daniel Haaksman (Man Recordings - Berlin) and Universal Music. Participated in events, examples: SpringEight Festival 2008 (Graz - Austria) wich played the side of names with “Drum Magic” and “Mix Hell”; DUTTY Weekend - Zoo York (Prague - Czech Republic); Polar Music Prize (Stockholm - Sweden); Festival Caliente (Zurich - Switzerland); CPH:DOX * - International Documentary Film Festival 2008
