DIVING DEEP was an Austrian Band that existed between 1994 and 2001, consisting of Roland Taberhofer (vocals, bass, guitar), Werner Gesselbauer (vocals, guitar, mouth harp), Simon Koschar (bass, back vocals) & Thomas "Schuby McStick" Schriebl (drums). Their musical style was a mixture of Alternative Rock, Blues, Britpop, & Reggae. In 1998 they changed their musical style and specialized themselves in some Ska-Pop-Fun-Thing. They also began to sing in German, while their earlier songs were all in English. In 2000 they changed their name into VOM MEISTER EMPFOHLEN (German for: 'Recommended By The Master') and got a deal with BMG. In 2001 they split because of no success. In 2002 Koschar, Schriebl & Gesselbauer created a new project called RISING GIRL - with much more success: Their song 'Rising girl' reached #1 on the Austrian Top 40 Charts in 2005.
