DIVINE REALM is the effort of one musician Leo Diensthuber (24) to share his passionate, technical, and progressive musical playing and songwriting with the world. Growing up with an obsession for musical knowledge and growth Leo D. began as a drummer with a hope to one day play like his musical idols such as Ian Paice (Deep Purple) and Bill Ward (Black Sabbath). After many years of practice and examination of drumming in music Leo D. picked up an electric guitar where he found himself focused on such artists as Dave Mustaine/Marty Friedman (Megadeth) as well as more progressive musicians like John Petrucci (Dream Theater) and Mikael Akerfelt (Opeth). From there on, an undying desire and passion to write, improve, and perform music has been flowing through his veins. Throughout his teenage years Leo D. founded his first band PYSIEDIUS in the small town of Brockville ON where they affected and dominated the local music scene. After several EP's and years of writing and playing shows PYSIEDIUS then emigrated to Ottawa, ON where for several years they offered their progressive metalcore stylings to the city. Here PYSIEDIUS began making a name for themselves and impressing Ottawa fans, musicians and the metal scene as a whole, opening up for such metal acts as Protest the Hero, Quo Vadis, Rose Funeral, Ion Dissonance and many more.
