There are two bands named Distant Dream: 1. The progressive rock project 'Distant Dream' began in Calcutta, India but really started taking shape in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA where many of the members the attended the University of Michigan. The project credits 22 musicians, artists, writers, designers, and sound engineers from India, U.S.A., Sweden, France, and New Zealand. 2. Distant Dream is an instrumental post rock/ambient metal band from Gdańsk, Poland. Started by Marcin Majrowski in 2017 as a one man project.
