Dissimilar started as a past-time amongst high school friends Kyle Monroe, Andrew Miles, Travis Warren, David Oatis, and Gary Bladen. Best decribed as "screamo", Dissimilar produced one EP titled "The Sweet Embrace" and a newer demo titled "We are the War Worth Fighting" that never made it to print. Dissimilar played many local shows around Sacramento, CA before the project was scrapped. Three of the members, Kyle (Vocals, Guitar, Keys), Andrew (Drums, Percussion) and Gary (Guitar), are now a part of the much more well known "Hazel and Vine" (www.myspace.com/hazelandvine).
