DISRESPECT came to life in the basement of the House of Misery in the summer of 2002. Jon and Gary have had plenty of music experience....over 15 years each with Misery, Jon has also been with Assrash and the Pisshead Blues Band. Gary has been with Dreadnaught, Hellspawn, Children of Barren Wasteland and supported various other bands. Dan has been with Pissed. Darren has previously been involved with nothing. Originally formed as a cover band essentially to amuse themselves and play songs they all knew and loved, they started off with Dan and Athena (ex-Red Vendetta) on vocals. Andre (ex-Civil Disobedience) soon joined up and they suddenly boasted 3 vocalists. Disrespect's first gig was at the Urban Wildlife later that year. In 2003 Athena moved on and they took on Molly...rumor was she liked to sing in the shower and did a pretty decent job at it. She also was new to the band life. They also began working on original material. Things started coming together nicely toward the end of the year...they played the Triple Rock, the Uptown Bar, 7th St. Entry and recorded the first 7" on the friggin' coldest day of the year.
