Often called "The Brett Up Kids", The Disco Kids were part of the late 90's Emo movement in Detroit Michigan. Pretty much a straight Get Up Kids meets Seaweed rip, their lyrics dealt with abusive drinking, and getting dumped. Boo F'ing hoo. They gave way to Radio Holiday, a band the main songwriter Brett Fratangelo would form with the drummer Rick Butinski. Other guitar player and vocalist Steve Kay was most notably in Capture the Flag.
