Ten years ago, Lassi Vierimaa, then known as Scape released a single ‘Be My Friend’, which became an instant hit on the house music scene. ‘Be My Friend’ and remixes by Seamus Haji, Michael Grey and Ian Carey appeared on numerous compilations for Hed Kandi, Sony BMG, Ministry of Sound, MN2S, DMC, Azuli, Mixmash and more. Now ten years later, Lassi is finally making a comeback under the new ‘Disco Despair’ moniker on Youth Control. Disco Despair’s first EP titled I’m No Good is an impeccable 5 track nu-disco EP that underlines his years of experience on the electronic music scene. The title track ‘I’m No Good (Feat. Her Favorite Flavor)’ kicks things off with an electro pop / nu-disco vibe, utilising Her Favorite Flavor’s catchy vocals to the full. The EP continues with the slightly more club oriented cut ‘Freak With me’, and finally the third original track on the EP ‘Let You In My Heart’ is a more progressive nu-disco track with huge synth chords and a funky bass line.
