There are more than one bands with this name: 1) DIOXIDE - Formed in 1995 by Brian Scheuerle (ontol, PvR, Love to Hate) and Hugh Helms (ontol, aoVI, LMAO, A B D I) as a vehicle for their less ambient compositions. The duo released "Strange Pipe" (1995), "The Lillian Mixes" (1996), "Status Report" [with Kirk Lenoir - also of ontol](1997), "9Lives" (1999), and "Never Coming Back Again" (2000). Scheuerle and Helms have a standing plan to return to the studio sometime in the future, but no date has been set.
