Dieter Serfas is a drummer and percussionist. He was member of German Krautrock and Ethnojazz legends "Amon Düül II" (e.g. on "Phallus Dei") and "Embryo" (e.g. on "Ibn Battuta"). He also invented the so called "pitchpedaldrum", an improved kind of a "talking drum" that allows the player to use a foot pedal to change the tone color.
