From their myspace, www.myspace.com/diesmilingtheband: Melbourne-based modern heavy-rock band, Die Smiling, are about to launch their debut album Positive Lifestyle Centre. The 13-track album features melodic, well-structured songs drawing on a diverse range of musical styles and influences. Die Smiling brings together four band members of exceptional talent across several genres. A sound soup of rock, funk, pop, punk with some acoustic flavors brings a fresh style to the Melbourne music scene. Already in production of their second album, these guys are a deep well of musical talent with an energetic live show to boot. Having performed many local shows at venues such as the Duke of Windsor and the Palace, punters are quickly warming to the band and many pre-production CDs have been sold as a result. Guaranteed crowd pleasers, the band shows strong stage presence and their compelling image is a platform for their original music. These guys show a commitment to entertainment that is lacking in many local bands today. Craig Riley Guitar -Has played in Millennium Soul (1995-97), Vicious Fishes (1997-2000) and Lunchcutter (2000-04) which featured several members of the Die Smiling line up. Warrick Smythe Bass -Also a member of Millennium Soul (1995-97) went on to play with S.A.M (1998-99), Sexual Chocolate (1998-2001), Crazy Haus (2001-02) before joining Lunchcutter in 2003.
