Die Moulinettes are a soul crushing Black Metal band from Scandinavia who burn down churches and stab each other in the skulls with knives while wearing stupid corpsepaint on their faces and ridiculous arm bracers with nails sticking out of them. They are most certainly not a German multi-lingual Post Rock/Bossa Nova group in the vein of Stereolab, Italian composer Ennio Morricone and American composer Henry Mancini. If they were in fact this group, disembodied narration in the point of view of the third person would be most certain in factually stating that the members of this group include three females and one dude. Claudia Kaiser plays Guitar and Banjo and Piano and she sings. Barbara Streidl plays Bass Guitar and sings too . Kiki Lorrig-Wossagk plays Drums and other percussion type instruments, as well as of course sings. Martin Lickleder, the token male presence, plays violin, harmonica, percussion types(maybe drums?), vibraphone, organ and lo and behold, vox again. They released their first album, 20 Blumen, in 1998. Their second record, Alfa Bravo Charlie, was released in 2001. Their last album, Serendipity Park, was released in 2004. Their next album, For A Fistful of Moulinettes, is scheduled to be released this year(2007). what the press says: "The world's oldest girl group" (Sterman/Grissemann, funny radio guys from Austria) "Vocalist Claudia Kaiser has a great voice, like a purple velour coil spring." (Ian Koss, Ink19) "Having seen Barbara Streidl
