Well known throughout Europe, Di Gojim is one of the leaders in today's Klezmer revival. Founded in 1988, the group's distinctive brand of Yiddish vocal and instrumental music in a theatrical setting has captivated audiences throughout Europe and in other parts in the world. Di Gojim's recent performance at the International Klezmer Festival of Sefad, Israel, has brought critical acclaim. The city was besieged by the most outstanding klezmer musicians of Israel. Among them Di Gojim was rated as the best klezmer orchestra of the entire festival thanks to their innovative and astonishing theatrical performance. The Israeli TV-2 broadcasted their performance and the major newspaper of Israel the 'Jediot Agronot ', wrote about the first 'gojim' klezmer orchestra in Sefad. Di Gojim, meaning 'the non-Jews' , is an ensemble of six musicians who combines the artistry of western classical music and the power of the East European ethnic and Jewish tradition played in a theatrical form. The musicians come from different musical backgrounds, including jazz, folk, classical and brass. Their repertoire ranges from wedding and dance music to song and ballads of Eastern Europe and the American Jewish musical tradition. With growing popularity, Di Gojim has performed in Belgium, Israel, France, Germany and Hungary for radio as well as television. In France they recorded the music for the French movie " Neuf Mois". The orchestra performed with great success at the European Yiddish Festivals
