Detachment 九 is based on ambient & drone music with elements of noise, founded in 2013 by Moe Ali aka Melancholic. Detachment 九 originally is a merged project between Hypophrenia (ex Handmade Birds ) and Månens Vågor. Before merging the two projects in 2013 Melancholic released one album under Handmade Birds titled "I Won't Need Any More Memories" This was the first & last release under Handmade Birds project the genre was more of heavy electronics & Japanoise. The album was released through Ukrainian label Depressive Illusions Records in CDR in slim case limited to 66 copies and the album artwork was done by Pär Boström. then the project put to hold for a few months and later the name was changed to Hypophrenia and in 2015 Melancholic released one album under the new name " Sounds Of Nowhere" through British label Cruel Nature Records, red cassette with pro-printed double sided inlay. Limited edition of 25 and only 4 black vinyls were made with a different picture of the founding member. Månens Vågor started in 2013 as a dark ambient / noise project dedicated to mother nature in 2013 the first album Translation Of light was released through Ukrainian label Depressive Illusions Records in CDR in slim case. Månens Vågor took a part with two compilation albums ( XE 15 Rising Void ) & ( XE20 Assault On Public ) both were released by Xernex label from Osijek, Croatia in 2014. Somewhere in 2015 Månens Vågor & Hypophrenia merged and formed Detachment 九. The symbol (九) is
