Derek Evry is an Alternative/Pop/Rock songwriter from Arlington, Virginia. Derek has been writing and performing original music since 1999. Derek is an avid vegetarian, does not care for any sports... Derek is currently preparing for the release of his third studio album, "Here's To Better Misery", which is due out on March 13, 2012. More information on those dates at http://www.derekevry.com A Hint of Derek Evry History: Derek started writing music with his band “Self-Titled” in Lake Ridge, VA in the fall of 1999. Self-Titled released several albums from 2001 to 2006, and disbanded in 2005. After the split, Derek spent the next 5 years compiling material, and working on his next band “The Process”. The Process changed their name to “IDEA TRACK” in the summer of 2008, and developed a very devoted following in the DC area. In November 2009, Idea Track parted ways. Derek spent several months trying to revamp his project, and in Winter of 2010, Derek took his musical fate into his own hands. Derek's debut solo album "Don't Think..." was written, recorded, and mixed in his apartment during "SNOWPOCALYPSE DC; 2010" using only a Line 6 Toneport KB37 interface/midi controller, and Apple's GarageBand recording software.
