Deniece Pearson is a Brit award winner, Grammy nominee and former lead singer with 80’s pop group, FIVE STAR. While in the group, Deniece had an unprecedented chart run of over 20 top thirty UK singles including ‘System Addict’, ‘The Slightest Touch’ and the anthem ‘Rain Or Shine’. FIVE STAR were also the youngest British group to have a number 1 album and the first group to achieve 7 consecutive hit singles from one album in the UK. This success was mirrored not only in Europe, but also in the US charts, with hit single ‘Let Me Be The One’ reaching number 2 on the R&B chart. Away from working with her family, Deniece also writes her own material as well as for others and enjoyed a successful writing partnership with Ryan Tedder (of One Republic), most notably penning the hit single Strike for teen star Nikki Flores. After taking a career break to raise her two children Deniece returned to show business and in 2009 she joined the West End musical ‘Thriller Live’ garnering great reviews for her outstanding performance. In September 2011, Deniece starred in another West End musical, ‘Respect La Diva’ where she wowed audiences with her sensational cover of Beyonce’s ‘Listen’ and a medley of Whitney Houston hits. At the start of 2012 Deniece took the bold decision to enter the BBC’s talent show, The Voice, where she was chosen by Sir Tom Jones to be on his team. It was a brief but exciting experience for Deniece, and one that introduced her to a new generation of fans. From
