In December of 2010, after the break-up of "Title 10", drummer Pat Gallo, his nephew/guitarist Nick Gallo, and longtime friend and collaborator bassist Dan Duguay decided to form a new band and agreed upon the name "DEMONS PAST". To each of them the name has certain significance referring to incidents in their lives. Into the beginning of 2011 the band continued to practice hard in-between holding auditions for a new singer. The auditions where taking a toll on the band since they couldn't find the voice they where looking for. They where finding lots of great talent but not the voice that would carry the band. Finally in June of 2011 while out having drinks Pat stumbled across singer Kevin James Frear at a local bar singing karaoke. He knew that his voice was the one that Nick and Dan had been looking for so he waved Kevin over and explained that the band was holding auditions for a singer. Kevin hadn't fronted a band in a few years and was very interested in getting back to writing and performing again. The following Thursday evening the four got together for Kevin's audition. Everything clicked. The band immediately started to put out the energy that they did back in the early days of the old band. Nick, Dan and Pat knew they didn't have to audition anymore! This was the voice they were holding out for. In October of 2011 the band played their first two shows showcasing their new original material to positive fan reaction.
