Demetria Taylor was the seventh child out of eight in the Blues Family of Eddie Taylor Sr. and Vera Taylor. Born in Chicago 1973. Since she was part of a blues family, Blues greats would always come over and visit. People like Floyd Jones, Carey Bell, Sunnyland Slim, Johmmy littlejohn, Willie Kent, and Magic Slim. Her influences are: Etta James, Bessie Smith, Big Mama Thornton and Koko Taylor (No relation to the Taylor family). She also has gospel roots.
