"Del Pueblo" (Of the People) arises among ends of the years 70s and principles of the 80s of one of the most popular districts in Lima, La Victoria. Although it seems unlikely this band is integrated originally in a local Christian church (version of Piero, "Freak out", 2005) and in a socialist political party local (version Jorge Acosta, "Jorgemiyagui.blogspot", 2006) where they began to conjugate popular Andean music and derived blended styles of the classic rock and rock of beginnings of the 80s. After a formative arrangement the band is formed with Piero Bustos, Jorge "el negro" ("the black one") Acosta, Toño Lertora, Alfredo "el gallo" ("the rooster") Calvo, Yolo Flores and Franco, configuring its classic grouping or the original line up and maturing a complex fusion style with rock personality which is exposed in two productions: of 1983 (Single) with 2 songs "Escalera al infierno" (stairway to hell) and "Posesiva de mi" (possessive of my); and the maxi single of 1985 "Del Pueblo" where they present "Malambito", "Paolo", "Te gustan mis medias" (You like my socks) and "Yo no quiero estudiar" (I don't want to study). Although the single is musically speaking a conceptual rupture, this last album can be considered a landmark of its gender and it moved the band away of any linking to melodic neo Andean music oriented to reformed folklore.
