Degrassi can mean two things: 1) Degrassi are an Edinburgh-based heavy rock/metal band who have received critical acclaim from such names as John Peel, XFM, Q Magazine and Kerrang. The band's website is http://www.myspace.com/degrassi. 2) The Degrassi series is a Canadian drama that followed the lives of a group of children and teenagers who lived on De Grassi Street in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The three main series were: - The Kids of Degrassi Street, - Degrassi Junior High - Degrassi High. The early Degrassi series were produced by the small production company Playing With Time. The current version of Degrassi, Degrassi: The Next Generation, airs on MuchMusic in Canada and on TeenNick in the United States.
